I am so ready to update my kitchen cabinets to possibly an antique walnut from the light maple finish that has been the same for over 15 years. I have beautiful cabinetry, it is in terrific shape, the pale country look just doesn’t work with the darker hickory in the rest of the house. I know many are going with white or java coloration. Neither fit for me . I’d like to follow your tips and try warming up the cabinets with a dark walnut or dark mahogany with a brown glaze. I am interested in using gel stain with a glaze over it. Any suggestions from anyone who could guide me also I would appreciate the additional tutorials since I have many upper and lower cabinetry to transform. Anyone step out of the comfort zone of white, creme, or java? I could use some input before I finish putting my project in motion. Anyone ? And thanks in advance by someone ready to kick this out on my own!
